The daily oxygen requirement of corona sufferers is 140 tons

Dr. Saman Ratnayake, Secretary to the State Ministry of Drug Production, Supply and Regulation, said that at present 140 tons of oxygen should be given daily to covid infected people in the country.

Accordingly, it has been decided to bring 300 tons of oxygen per week from India to Sri Lanka, he said.

The doctor further said that before the spread of covid, 20 tons of oxygen was sufficient for the patients in this country.
