Giant container ship EVERGREEN blocking Suez Canal refloated

The masssive container ship EVERGREEN which blocked the Suez Canal has been  refloated successfully on March 29.

 

As per the sources, the ship is being secured at present and the Suez Canal Authority has stated that 10 tug boats were involved in dislodging the vessel.

 

he first step towards getting one of the world’s most important trade arteries moving again.

 

The vessel which has been stuck in the canal since March 23 caused a backlog of several ships while disrupting the international shipping lines.

 

The authorities are expecting to allow traffic to resume via the canal, upon the clearing the vessel.
