The Met Department warns that there may be showers of up to 50 mm in Galle, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Sabaragamuwa Provinces.

Showers may occur in the North Western Province as well. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Uva Province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.

Moderate to strong winds of 40-50 kmph are likely in the western slopes of Hambantota, Trincomalee and Central Highlands, North Central and North Western Provinces.
