Fifteen arrested including a MP, who went hunting

Former Polonnaruwa District UNP MP Sidney Jayaratne and 15 others who went hunting in the Polonnaruwa Somawathiya National Park have been arrested during a special raid carried out by the Polonnaruwa Wildlife Unit.

The group was arrested in the Galranda area of ​​the National Park yesterday afternoon and eight motorcycles belonging to them were also taken into custody by the wildlife.

The suspects were produced before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate's Court and released on bail.
