Escaped COVID-19 patient located

The COVID-19 patient named Mohammed Kasim Mohammed Nasim who escaped from IDH this morning, has been located by the Sri Lanka Army and brought back to the hospital a short while ago,  said the Commander of Sri Lanka Army Shavendra Silva.

 

The said escapee had been located near the National Hospital in Colombo.

 

A number of  teams of the Army were deployed to locate and detain the suspect who escaped from IDH this morning (July 24).

 

The escapee had gone to the Main Street in Pettah after breaking out of IDH and he had arrived at the Colombo National Hospital in a three-wheeler.

 

The driver of the three-wheeler has ben directed to the quarantine centre in Kandakadu .

 

Sri Lanka Police stated that the suspect is a drug addict and a wanted criminal for several crimes.
