Dhammika paniya no good to cure Covid

The much-talked Dhammika paniya has been tested and it has been found out that it is not a cure for the COVID-19 virus Clinical tests have confirmed that the syrup introduced by Ayurvedic practitioner Dhammika Bandara is not a cure for the COVID-19 virus.

 

The special committee appointed to review the syrup has suspended further investigations into it and said it is extremely unlikely that the syrup would produce positive effects.
Dhammika Bandara who received a lot of support from politicians such as Wimal weerawansa and was distributed to thousands of people in the  Kegalle and many parliamentarians including health minister Pavithra Waniarachi and the Speaker sipped the syrup making a public show. Dhammika Bandara claimed that he had a vision from goddess Kali.

 

The syrup also got the administrative approval to conduct research on it in January this year following the Ethical Committee of the Rajarata University granted ethical clearance to the syrup on December 30, 2020, which was a questionable act. Also, it was tested on patients at the Wathupitiwala hospital without any approval.
