15 injured as plunges down Ragala precipice

At least 15 passengers were injured some seriously when a private-owned passenger bus plunged down a precipice at Mahatudugala on the Ragala- High Forest Road in Nuwara-Eliya earlier today, police said.

 

The bus was transporting passengers from Nuwara Eliya to Ragala when the incident took place, police added. According to police the driver is reported to have fallen suffered a major and had lost control of the vehicle. The driver was also among the injured.
