Decision to resign the Director General of the Consumer Affairs Authority

Thushan Gunawardena, who was the Director General of the Consumer Affairs Authority, has decided to hand over his resignation letter to State Minister of Consumer Affairs Lasantha Alagiyawanna on Tuesday.

The Director General said that he had taken this decision as he had been affected by a number of incidents, including affecting a contract for the purchase of goods and opposing irregularities.
