Chinese vaccination first for Chinese

State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID-19 Disease Control Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle said that in rolling out the Chinese vaccine Chinese living in China will be given prominence at the request of the Chinese government.

 

The Sinopharm vaccine will first be administered to Chinese nationals on the island. The Cheese vaccination approvals have been questioned by some health trade unions who say it has not been approved by the WHO.

 

The state minister admitted that that further testing s underway and as of now permission has been given only to accept the donation of the Sinopharm vaccine.
Chinese authorities gave conditional approval for general public use of a coronavirus vaccine developed by state-owned drug maker Sinopharm last December.
Later United Arab Emirates Health Ministry said that Sinopharm has 86% efficacy in its country.
