Provincial council polls to be held in June

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has met the election commission and discussed the possibility of holding provincial council elections.

 

When the President met the former provincial councilors of his camp he asked them to ready for the third week of June.
According to well-informed sources, the Elections Commission is getting ready for June.

 

Meanwhile, President Rajapaksa has told Minister Janaka Bandara Tennekoon to see that all legislative functions are streamlined.

 

The most talked topic among the former provincial councilors was what the president told about his two brothers in politics-Basil and Mahinda.
The President dispelled rumors that differences opinions have emerged among the three brothers and he was full of praise for his two brothers and sad that they are doing a great job.
