SL to establish a pharmaceutical zone in Horana

Co-cabinet spokesperson Minister Ramesh Pathirana stated that Sri Lanka will set up a pharmaceutical investment zone in Millewa, Horana with an initial investment of 8 billion rupees.
Two pharma zones had already been established in Arabokka in the Hambantota and Oyamaduwa in the Anuradhapura connected to the State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC).
The initial stage of the above project will start in March 2021 and this zone is anticipated to generate orthopedic and neurosurgical equipment, anti-cancer drugs, pills and capsules, surgical instruments and lenses.
