As of December corona deaths exceed 22,000

According to data released on Sri Lanka by the Institute of Health Measurements and Evaluations affiliated to the University of Washington, one of the world's leading forecasting agencies for Covid 19, the total death toll in Sri Lanka could exceed 22,000 by December.

They warn that the number of covid deaths, which exceed 100 per day, could exceed 350 daily by October.

The total number of Covid deaths in the country has already exceeded 5,000 and it is likely that the number of deaths will exceed 12,500 by December.
