An emergency meeting of party leaders at the request of the Leader of the House

Leader of the House, External Affairs Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has requested that an emergency meeting of party leaders be convened in Parliament on Monday (August 16).

He said that due to the prevailing Covid epidemic situation, it was proposed to convene an emergency meeting of the party leaders under the chairmanship of the Speaker.

At an earlier meeting of party leaders, it was decided that Parliament would convene from next Tuesday to Friday.
