A group of Chinese workers are flooded

The Zhuhai City Emergency Management Agency said in an online statement that 14 workers had been swept away by floodwaters while construction was underway on a tunnel under construction in southern China.

Search and rescue teams have been dispatched from surrounding towns in Guangdong province and rescue operations are being carried out vigorously and systematically.

 

The Department of Emergency Management in Zhuhai also announced that workers had been killed and injured when a protective wall and rocks in the tunnel collapsed earlier.
