56 inmates from Kandakadu Rehabilitation Center and counselor test positive for COVID-19

56 individuals and a female counselor at the Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre in Kandakadu have tested positive for COVID-19.

 

The counselor had been located from Marawila on July 9.

 

According to the Government Information Department, 450 inmates and the staff of the Rehabilitation Centre have been subjected to PCR tests  and the necessary quarantine measures have been taken.
