25 indicted in connection with Easter attack

The Attorney General's Department has indicted 25 suspects in connection with the April 21, 2019 bombing in the Colombo High Court yesterday.

The indictments have been filed against Naufar Moulaw, Sajid Moulaw, Mohammad Mihan, Sadith Abdullah, Adam Lebbe, Mohammad Sinasdeen and Mohammad Rizwan. The Attorney General requested the Chief Justice to appoint a three member Special High Court to hear these allegations.

The suspects have been charged with 23,270 counts, including murder and attempted murder, possession of explosives and weapons.
