Covid-19 origin mystery

A four-page report by US intelligence agencies stated that no direct evidence supports the claim that the Covid-19 pandemic originated from an incident at China's Wuhan Institute of Virology.
While the agencies could not rule out the possibility of the virus coming from a laboratory, they have not been able to determine the precise origin of the pandemic.
The report mentioned that the natural and lab hypotheses face challenges and rely on significant assumptions. The agencies found no evidence of a specific incident at the Wuhan Institute that could have caused the outbreak.
However, a peer-reviewed analysis confirmed that genetic material from wild animals and the SARS-CoV-2 virus were present in samples taken from the Huanan seafood market in Wuhan.
The World Health Organization has urged China to share information, and recent data from Chinese scientists included genetic sequences from samples taken at the market in January 2020.
