Teen of SL origin arrested over murder of young girl in Rome

According to foreign media outlets, a boy accused of murdering a girl of the same age in the north of Rome, Italy, will remain under arrest. The boy, of Sri Lankan origin but born in Rome, allegedly killed Michelle Maria Causo in his apartment in the Primavalle neighborhood. 

 

 

He then placed her body in a garbage bag inside a shopping trolley near a trash container. The victim had multiple stab wounds inflicted with a kitchen knife, but there was no evidence of sexual assault. 

 

 

The motive for the homicide is still being investigated. The brutal nature of the crime and the ages of the alleged killer and victim have shocked Italy. The girl's father has demanded justice, stating there is no forgiveness for such an act. 

 

 

Investigators have confirmed that the two were not in a relationship, and the victim was not pregnant.
