After breaking COVID guidelines by kissing a colleague, the UK health minister resigned.

Matt Hancock, the Secretary of State for Health, has resigned after admitting to breaking social distancing guidelines. saying "those of us who make these rules have got to stick by them".

His resignation and apology came after images of him in an embrace with a colleague, Gina Coladangelo, were published in the Sun newspaper.

The images of the couple, who are both married, were taken within the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) on May 6, 2021, according to the paper.

Before resigning, Labour and the Liberal Democrats demanded that the health secretary be fired.
