Australia says "No" to Tik-Tok

Australia, joining a list of countries restricting the video-sharing app, will ban the use of TikTok on federal government devices over security concerns.

 

Western officials warning; China could use the app to spy on users and manipulate public debate has been a cause for this restriction.

 

Australia becomes the last of the “Five Eyes” intelligence partners (the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand) to introduce such restrictions due to the ban.
