My brother's rocket was a private investment

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa responded to discussions about India's recent rocket launch, noting that people often connect it with the rocket sent by his brother. 

 

 

He clarified that his brother's rocket was a private-sector project, and any government involvement should be examined by the COPE committee. 

 

 

He mentioned that opposition leader Sajith Premadasa could investigate the matter if he wished, but emphasized that political mudslinging won't help develop the economy. 

 

 

Rajapaksa stressed that damaging individuals' names and families won't contribute to the country's economic growth.
