Sri Lanka, Singapore ink MoU on carbon credits during Wickremesinghe's meeting with Lee Hsien Loong

President Ranil Wickremesinghe discussed with Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong reinforcing collaborative efforts between the two nations, emphasizing sustained cooperation and exploring avenues for increased economic involvement. 

 

 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed, focusing on a joint venture on carbon credits under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. 

 

 

The MoU was signed by officials from both countries in the presence of the leaders, solidifying their commitment to environmental responsibility and setting the stage for further collaboration in various sectors.
