MP Jagath Kumara calls for temporary suspension of the 'Aswesuma' welfare program

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Member of Parliament Jagath Kumara has urged for a temporary suspension of the 'Aswesuma' welfare benefits program. 

 

 

Kumara has raised concerns about the program, stating that many individuals who still need to meet the eligibility criteria have been included as beneficiaries. 

 

 

He emphasized the need for a filtering process to ensure that only deserving individuals receive welfare benefits.
