Opposition party raises concerns over anti-corruption bill

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya has disagreed with the proposed anti-corruption bill, citing inadequate provisions for recovering stolen assets and ensuring accountability for those involved.

 

 

Tissa Attanayake, a Member of Parliament and the national organizer of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, stated that his party could not support the anti-corruption bill due to these concerns. The bill is set to be discussed and approved in Parliament on the 21st, which has sparked further discussions and debates on the issue.
