32 accused over Amarakirthi Athukorala’s murder released on bail

Another 32 individuals charged with the murder of former Polonnaruwa District Parliamentarian Amarakirthi Athukorala and his security officer have been granted bail by the Gampaha High Court. 

 

 

They were released on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 and four sureties of Rs. 400,000 each. 

 

 

The case was heard by a three-member bench of the High Court, and all 37 accused, including the five who were previously released on bail, appeared in court today.
