27 Sri Lankans injured as shuttle bus plunges off precipice in Turkey

An unfortunate accident in Turkey has resulted in 27 Sri Lankan workers being injured. The incident occurred when a shuttle bus carrying 39 Sri Lankan labourers working on a development project at Istanbul Airport veered off the road and rolled down a 6-meter slope in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district.

The accident is believed to have been caused by the driver losing control of the bus. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, and the injured workers were stable.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Turkey has taken swift action to respond to the incident, sending a representative to assess the situation and ensure the well-being of the affected workers.
