A man died in a knife attack and one person sustained the injury

Two men had been stabbed by a relative in the Galwala Road area in Mirihana. One has died while the other one sustained critical injury. The incident took place early this morning (April 23).

 

The injured one who was 53-year-old was subsequently transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment. As reported, he is a resident of Boraluwaya in Deniyaya. The deceased was identified as a 34-year-old named Sajith Madusanka who was living on Galwala Road in Mirihana.

 

The perpetrator is a resident of the deceased’s neighbourhood. He fled the area after the stabbing. The motive behind the knife attack is said to have been an escalated personal dispute.

 

The investigations have been started by The Mirihana Police to apprehend the suspect.
