The husband is arrested for murdering his wife

A murder is reported from Gamagoda, Kalutara. A 57-year-old resident has been arrested as a suspect over a case of murdering his wife.

 

The postmortem examination has proven that his wife had died due to strangulation and the suspect was arrested yesterday (17). The deceased was identified as Neelamuni Ramani Silva who resided in Gamagoda, Kalutara.

 

On April 12, she passed away after falling down in the house reportedly, but the Kalutara Police performed the postmortem examination upon an order from the Kalutara Magistrate’s Court.

 

According to the postmortem examination, Neelamuni, had, in fact, died of asphyxiation.
