Train services restored after elephant collision on Batticaloa line
Train services on the Batticaloa line were temporarily disrupted yesterday night after a wild elephant was fatally struck by a passenger train travelling from Colombo to Batticaloa.
According to railway officials, the collision led to a brief suspension of services and train operations were later restored.
