Special trains and buses in operation from today

Gemunu Wijeratne, President of the Private Bus Owners’ Association has assured that special buses will be in operation for those who are returning from their hometowns to Colombo during the festive season. Accordingly, 25% of the buses are working today but 50% of buses are expected to operate tomorrow. (16 April)

 

The Sri Lankan Railway Department stated that long-distance trains will be operated from today. (15 April)

 

Further, the General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways stated that several special trains are scheduled to run from outstation areas to Colombo from today, adding that he said one train from Galle to Colombo and another from Badulla to Colombo will be in operation from tomorrow morning. A special train from Anuradhapura to Beliaththa is also scheduled to run, according to him.
