Compensation proposal to Cabinet next week

Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera said that the proposal seeking compensation for cultivation-related damages due to the prevailing drought condition will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers next week.

 

 

He pointed out that he had verbally presented facts regarding the matter to the Cabinet on Monday (14).

 

 

Furthermore, he emphasised that the Government expects to provide compensation for cultivation lands that are entirely and partially damaged due to the prevailing dry weather conditions.
