Railway station masters in a token strike

With effect from midnight today (May 09) railway station masters have decided to engage in a token strike.

 

Until midnight tomorrow, the station masters will withdraw from duties for 24 hours accordingly. 

 

The token strike is carried on in protesting the appointment of an official accused of corruption as the Deputy General Manager (Commercial) of Railways.

 

The decision was taken at the meeting of the union’s executive members today, to launch a token strike to urge the authorities to reverse the move at the earliest possible.
