"The fall in fuel price is not a reason to revise the three-wheeler fares"

Although the fuel prices were slashed, the three-wheeler fares will not be revised, according to the All-Island Three-Wheeler Drivers' Association.
The Chairman of the association Lalith Dharmasena told the media that the reduction of petrol price by a mere Rs. 7 is not enough to reduce the three-wheeler fares.
Further, he stated that the reduction is not a relief but a discomfort and the government is reducing the burden of the capitalists.
Further, he alleged that having paid money for the required amount of fuel they haven't even received the fuel.
Thereby, a reduction of Rs. 7 is not necessary. He stressed that the government should provide three-wheeler drivers with a sufficient amount of petrol and the fares will not be reduced for any reason.
