Underage siblings suffer grave sexual abuse

 A ten-year-old boy and his eight-year-old sister in the Kosgoda Police area have been subject to grave sexual abuse by three men.

 

The three suspects of 22, 73, and 63 years of age have been arrested by the Kosgoda Police last morning.

 

The 22-year-old young man is one of the closest relatives of the victims and a welcome visitor to the house, and the other two men are residents of the area. Investigations revealed that the suspects had visited the house when the children’s mother, employed as a cinnamon peeler, had been away from home.

 

The two children were admitted to the hospital, and the suspects were to be produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate.

 

HQI Kosgoda Police Chief Inspector Dunuvila Bandara is conducting further investigations.
