SLTB bus collided with a car, 15 were hospitalized

A bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) collided with a car in Kegalle this afternoon (18). The accident ended up in 15 persons including a dozen students being injured.
The bus was transporting a group of schoolchildren and the injured were admitted to the Kegalle General Hospital.
A total of 12 students, two female teachers and the driver of the car sustained the injuries. The accident was caused because of the driver of the car falling asleep at the wheel. The driver has admitted the same.
According to Dr. Mihiri Priyangani of the Kegalle General Hospital, the students and teachers have only minor injuries.
