The Norochcholai Coal Power Plant has no shortage of coal to operate

As Kanchana Wijesekera; Power and Energy Minister says, “There will be no shortage of coal to operate the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant (NCPP).”

 

The 23rd cargo is currently being unloaded while the 24th and 26th shipments have arrived at Puttalam and waiting to be unloaded.

 

Before May 1, the 27th and 29th shipments are expected to arrive here. Even the 30th cargo is scheduled to be dispatched here in the first week of May.

 

A total of 30 shipments of coal are ready to operate the Norochcholai power plant at full capacity in accordance with the generation forecast of the CEB for the upcoming festive season.
