School curricula should include sex education

State Minister of Tourism Diana Gamage emphasized the importance of, including sex education in the school curriculum during a parliamentary session.

 

 

She pointed out that many children lack awareness about important facts regarding sex, leading them to face various troubles. Some students are not even familiar with the concept of social diseases, and they may unknowingly contract, such diseases due to their lack of knowledge about the symptoms.

 

 

Minister Gamage urged parents to spend more time with their children. Responding to criticism from SJB MPs, she confidently stated that the fate of these MPs would soon become apparent. She also mentioned her past role as the General Secretary of Ape Jathika Peramuna and emphasized the significance of being a citizen to run a political party effectively.
