A man is arrested for using a counterfeit Rs.1000 for expressway toll fee

Police have arrested a person at the Kadawatha exit of the expressway, for trying to pay the toll gate using fake notes. The person has produced a counterfeit Rs. 1000 note to the exit counter.

 

Sunday morning, this 35-year-old man has been arrested and handed over to the Kadawatha Police Station. The suspect is a resident of Haputale and he is to be presented before the Mahara Magistrate on Monday (17, April).

 

Further investigations are conducted by Kadawath Police.
