Veteran lyricist Camillus Perera has passed away

Veteran lyricist and journalist Camillus Perera, who was 74 years old at the time of his death, has composed many popular songs.

He composed more than 400 songs including 'Unmada wu Premaradare', 'Vasana Wewa' and 'Himi nethi pemakata' and passed away at his residence at Kalyani Road, Wattgala this afternoon.

The last rites of Camillus Perera will be performed at the Wattala Catholic Cemetery.
