US Defense Secretary Dr. Mark T. Esper telephones President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and discusses major issues
The US Secretary of Defense , Dr. Mark T. Esper has spoken with Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa over the phone on August 30, according to the sources.
Dr. Esper has congratulated the President on his successful handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent conclusion of parliamentary elections.
He has also urged continued progress on reconciliation and human rights in Sri Lanka.
