Two weeks lockdown proposal from Sudarshini

Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control State Minister Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle has proposed a two-week lockdown. The proposal is somewhat strange as she is a government minister and qualified medical person and she has not been able to convince her ruling party colleagues.

 

Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle said that the COVID cases and deaths were on the rise especially due to the new variant and people should stay indoors for two weeks," Earlier she said that donations were welcome and minter Johnston Fernando said that the government did not have a shortage of funds and that Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle is under stress and that’s what prompted her to make such a statement.
