Thundershowers in several parts of the country today

Showers will occur at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, the Met Department said.

 

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in these areas during the evening or night in the Mullaitivu and Vavuniya districts.

 

The Meteorological Department warns the public to take steps to minimize the damage caused by strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
