Three arrested in Kalpitiya over the transportation of smuggled Turmeric
Sri Lanka Navy stated that three individuals were arrested in Kalpitiya while transporting a smuggled stock of Turmeric, on September 6.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka Navy have discovered 815 kg of dry Turmeric in the truck which was used to transport the stock.
The suspects and the seized stock of Turmeric were handed over to Kalpitiya Police for further investigations.
