The largest museum in the world built for an artist is from Norway

The world's largest museum dedicated to a single artist has opened in Norway.

A new museum has been opened in Oslo for Edward Munch, a world-renowned Norwegian artist.

The original painting of Lamentations was exhibited in Oslo, Munch, in 1893, and several versions can be seen here.

His mother and older sister died when he was 14, 12 years after his father died.

The museum is one of Munch's aspirations, culminating 77 years after his death.
