Teachers' Union demands a written solution to the problem

At a press conference after a discussion with the cabinet subcommittee, the teachers' union representatives said the strike would not end until a positive answer to their salary issue was given in writing.

Representatives of the Teachers 'Trade Unions and representatives of several trade unions including the Cabinet Sub-Committee and the Ceylon Teachers' Service Union met at the residence of Minister Wimal Weerawansa in Colombo.
