Sri Lanka still under terrorist threat

The United States has issued updated travel advice on Sri Lanka telling Americans not to travel to Sri Lanka say that the terrorist threat level is still the same.
“Do not travel to Sri Lanka due to COVID-19. Exercise increased caution in Sri Lanka due to terrorism,” the updated travel advice said.
“There is no change to the terrorist threat level,” the Embassy said.
An assessment by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defence with regard to the U.S. travel warning on Sri Lanka by the U.S. State Department under Level 04 Category revealed that neither reports on terrorist threats nor such related activities were revealed as of today.
The ministry said in a statement that the U.S. travel warning on Sri Lanka is a general travel warning given by the U.S. State Department under Level 04 Category.
Although the U.S. travel advisory regarding Sri Lanka has been issued due to COVID-19 situation, the threat on terrorism is also included by default.
