Schools instructed to postpone all special functions

All schools in Sri Lanka have been advised to postponed all special functions until further notice.

 

Secretary to the Education Ministry Professor Kapila Perera stated that the schools have been informed of the said decision,  today  through their respective Zonal Education Offices. 

 

He said the directives have been issued after taking into consideration the existing coronavirus pandemic in Sri Lanka.

 

He added that it was essential to protect  the students and all those involved in school duties, and act with responsibility in this regard.
