SLPP candidate Premalal Jayasekera sentenced to death

Former MP Premalal Jayasekara and two others were sentenced to death  by the Rathnapura High Court on July 31.

 

Premalal Jayasekara is a candidate who is contesting the 2020 General Elections under the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna from the Rathnapura District. 

 

The accused have been found guilty of shooting dead an individual and causing damage to  an election rally in Kahawatte in  2015
