Antiquities Ordinance to be amended - President's Media Division

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has reached a decision to appoint a committee, to study how the amendments to the Antiquities Ordinance should take place, with the pursuit of preventing the damage caused to the national heritage and the antiquities and preserving them for the future generations.

 

The said decision has been taken by the President at a  meeting  with the Buddhist Advisory Council held at the Presidential Secretariat on July 24.
