Over the long weekend: the Army Commander makes a request to the general people.

In light of the forthcoming holiday weekend, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva stated no decision has been made to implement a complete travel ban.

 

The Army Commander stated that almost 2000 persons are currently receiving medical attention and that 1500 infections are being detected on a daily basis.

 

During this time, he also asked the general public to be vigilant and act properly.

 

The inter-province travel prohibition is also in place for the general public, according to General Shavendra Silva.
